They're All Pretty from Afar

Some days, a lonely single guy looks out the window, wonders, dreams, and wishes.

They're all pretty from afar
Though they hang out in a bar
Or they speed fast in a car
And they puff on a cigar.

One can dream the day along
But always keep a furlong.
You can admire from the rear
And not see the can of beer.

Wander not so very close
Or her faults she will disclose.
Enjoy your thoughts all alone
A bad choice you won't bemoan.

Admire them all 'cross the room
So much more when in full bloom
No sense raising up your hopes
Just to slide down the steep slopes.
